Make Red Lobster's famous cheddar bay biscuits at home in just 30 minutes for a truly delicious treat!
Ingredients:
  • For the biscuits
  • 2 cups (255g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter, chilled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup whole buttermilk, chilled, plus more if needed
  • 4 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)
  • For the topping
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400°F and elegantly line a generously sized rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • Incorporate the butter: Combine the cold butter with a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs. Mix in the buttermilk and cheese until there are no dry spots of flour left, adding additional buttermilk, one tablespoon at a time, as necessary until the dough is formed.
  • Using an ice cream scoop, portion out 12 (1/4-cupfuls) of dough onto the baking sheet, ensuring they are 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 18 minutes until golden brown on top and edges. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Prepare the topping: Combine melted butter, dried parsley, garlic powder, and Old Bay seasoning in a small bowl. Brush this flavorful mixture over the warm biscuits before serving. Enjoy the dish? Share your feedback by rating and reviewing it below!
