Cheddar pastry twists

Deliciously simple cheese pastry twists - perfect for dipping or enjoying on their own hot out of the oven!
Ingredients:
  • 125.00 ml grated parmesan
  • 125.00 ml grated cheddar
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 2 eggs, beaten
Instructions:
  • Mix together the grated parmesan and cheddar, season the mixture. Lay one sheet of puff pastry onto a baking paper-lined tray. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with half of the cheese mixture. Place another sheet of puff pastry on top and press down to secure. Brush the pastry with more egg and sprinkle the remaining cheese mixture over the top. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes until firm.
  • Divide the pastry in half and then cut each half into 3cm-wide strips. Twist the strips and arrange them on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated 220°C/200°C fan-forced oven for 12 minutes or until beautifully golden and puffed. Let them cool, and enjoy serving them with soup.
