Irresistible baked appetizers: bread with tomato spread, cheese, bacon & parsley. Ideal for parties.
Ingredients:
  • 16 slices cocktail rye bread
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomato spread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
  • 4 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange bread slices on a jelly roll pan without greasing. For a festive touch, use holiday cookie cutters to create fun shapes. Bake for approximately 5 minutes until toasted to perfection.
  • Top each slice with flavorful tomato spread, a generous sprinkle of cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh parsley. If preparing in advance, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake for approximately 5 minutes or until the cheese is perfectly melted. Serve hot and enjoy!
