Cheese platter with fried olives

Elevate cheese appetizers with crispy fried olives.
Ingredients:
  • 150g tub e fresco olives stuffed with feta
  • 40.00 ml plain white flour
  • 1 free range egg, lightly beaten
  • 187.50 ml dry breadcrumbs
  • 150g blue cheese
  • 200g signature camembert
  • 200g dairy double brie
  • 200g twiggy sticks (from the deli)
  • Water crackers, to serve
  • 115.00 gm vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
  • Dry olives on paper towel after draining.
  • Prepare a breading station with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs on separate plates. Coat each olive in flour, then dip in egg, and finally roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated. Transfer the breaded olives to a baking tray and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Assemble blue cheese, camembert, brie, salami sticks, and crackers elegantly on a platter.
  • In a large frying pan, heat oil over high heat. Cook olives in batches for 2-3 minutes until they are crisp and golden. Serve the olives with a cheese platter.
