Cheesy bacon green beans - a flavorful blend of ingredients. Enjoy fresh or refrigerate overnight for even better flavors, then reheat in oven at 350°F.
Ingredients:
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.75 cup chopped onion
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar processed cheese sauce
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep skillet, sizzle bacon until perfectly browned. Crumble it, saving 1/4 cup of drippings in the skillet for later.
  • In a saucepan, combine green beans with water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 6 minutes until the beans are tender but still crisp. Drain before serving.
  • In the skillet with the bacon drippings, sauté mushrooms and onion until caramelized. Add crumbled bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons for topping, and mix well. Stir in green beans, season with pepper, and transfer to a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Heat the cheese sauce in the microwave until melted, then drizzle it over the green beans. Top with the crispy reserved bacon before serving.
