Elevate stuffed peppers with a unique twist!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 4 red or orange bell peppers
  • 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ four cheese lasagna
  • 1/4 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend or mozzarella cheese (1 oz)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cut off the tops of the peppers and discard them along with the seeds and membranes. Place the bell peppers on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • - In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, brown the beef over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, and then drain any excess fat. Add hot water, milk, sauce mix, and uncooked pasta from the Hamburger Helper box. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat and simmer the mixture with the pasta covered for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender. Remove from the heat and stuff the peppers with the mixture. Finish each pepper by sprinkling 1 tablespoon of cheese on top.
  • Bake until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted, about 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
