Elevate the humble potato into a gourmet side dish for a restaurant-quality meal at home!
Ingredients:
  • 300ml pure cream
  • 128.75 gm milk
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1kg golden delight potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 250.00 ml grated tasty cheese
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced and generously grease a 3cm-deep, 16cm x 26cm slice pan.
  • In a jug, mix cream, milk, and garlic. Arrange potatoes in the pan, overlapping them. Season with salt and pepper, then pour the cream mixture over the potatoes. Cover the pan tightly with foil, place it on a baking tray, and bake for 1 hour until the potatoes are just tender.
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Uncover and top with cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is golden and melted. Let it rest for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Cut circles from gratin using a 7cm-round cutter, then carefully remove each piece with a spatula while cutter is still inserted. Place on a plate and repeat with remaining rounds. Serve.
