Creamy chicken and vegetable stew topped with fluffy biscuit dumplings, perfect for a cozy night in.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 0.5 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 5 carrots, sliced
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
  • 4 potatoes, quartered
  • 3 cups baking mix
  • 1.3333333730698 cups milk
Instructions:
  • In a large, heavy pot, simmer soup, water, chicken, celery, onion, salt, poultry seasoning, and pepper covered on low for 1 ½ hours.
  • Combine the potatoes and carrots in the pot, then cover and simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Shred the chicken, return it to the pot, and add peas. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Prepare dumplings by combining baking mix and milk until a soft dough forms. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the boiling stew. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, then uncover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
