Spicy green chiles add color and flavor to this creamy chicken and cheese tortilla casserole.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) chicken - cooked, deboned and cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 12 (6 inch) corn tortillas
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine the chicken, chicken soup, mushroom soup, green chiles, and broth in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange corn tortillas to cover the bottom. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the tortillas, then sprinkle with cheese. Repeat layering like a lasagna until all the chicken mixture is used. Bake in preheated oven until cheese is bubbly and brown, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
