Heart Smart Chili Biscuit Bake: A comforting and satisfying dish combining chili and biscuits bake together.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Progresso™ red kidney beans (from 19-oz can), drained, rinsed
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) no-salt-added stewed tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
  • 1/3 cup fat-free (skim) milk
  • 3 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions (2 medium)
  • 1 teaspoon margarine, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Combine beans, tomatoes, water, salsa, ketchup, and chili powder in a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Microwave on High for 4 minutes, then stir.
  • Mix all the remaining ingredients in a small bowl until well blended. Spoon 6 dollops of the mixture onto the bean mixture.
  • Bake until golden brown, uncovered, for 20 to 23 minutes.
