Savor this beef chili with tomatoes, red kidney beans, potatoes, and a gooey Cheddar cheese topping - a satisfying meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper sauce
  • 1 can (15 to 16 ounces) red kidney beans
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Place the ground beef in the saucepan and use a long-handled spoon to stir until the beef is broken into small pieces. Cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned.
  • Remove saucepan from heat. Place the strainer over a small bowl. Transfer beef to the strainer to drain excess fat. Return beef to the saucepan.
  • Using a can opener, open the can of tomatoes and pour them (including the liquid) into the beef. Add chili powder, garlic salt, and red pepper sauce. Stir well to combine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Use a can opener to open the can of kidney beans. Pour the beans, along with the liquid from the can, into the beef mixture. Stir until well combined. Allow to cook for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat, then sprinkle cheese on top of each serving of chili.
