Chilli caramel popcorn

Delicious sweet and spicy popcorn - perfect for snacking or gifting!
Ingredients:
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 100g bag butter-flavoured microwave popcorn
  • 100g butter, chopped
  • 141.90 gm caster sugar
  • 1 long red chilli, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Prepare a large baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the popcorn as instructed on the packet. Place the popped popcorn into a large bowl, making sure to remove any un-popped kernels.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, and honey. Stir and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until sugar dissolves. Let it come to a boil and simmer without stirring for 5 to 7 minutes until light golden.
  • Add the chili as per the notes. Quickly pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn, stirring well to coat. Spread the mixture onto the prepared tray and allow it to cool completely. Break it into pieces and serve.
