Effortlessly marinated Chinese sweet and sour chicken for a quick and delicious dinnertime dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1.5 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, cornstarch, cold water, ginger, garlic, and black pepper. Add chicken breasts to the marinade and ensure they are well coated.
  • Combine the marinade and chicken in a 9x9-inch square baking dish. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour, covered.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Roast the marinated chicken in the oven until fully cooked and juices run clear, approximately 40 minutes, flipping once during cooking for even browning.
