Crispy chicken tenders coated in a tangy sweet and sour sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 10 chicken tenders
  • 0.5 cup cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a shallow bowl, gently pour the beaten egg. Then, combine the cornstarch and garlic salt in a large resealable plastic bag.
  • Coat chicken in beaten egg, then toss in cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
  • In a generous amount of oil, sear the chicken in a large skillet over medium heat until beautifully golden, approximately 5 minutes. Then, gracefully move the chicken to a welcoming baking dish.
  • Combine vinegar, sugar, broth, ketchup, soy sauce, and salt in a bowl, then pour over the chicken in the baking dish.
  • Roast in the oven until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear, about 40 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to confirm the center reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
