Decadent chocolate-filled scones with a luscious chocolate drizzle - a chocolate lover's dream!
Ingredients:
  • 450g self-raising flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 100g butter, chilled, chopped
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 95g choc bits
  • 50g dried cranberry
  • 250ml milk
  • 50g milk choc bits, melted, extra
  • Chocolate hazelnut spread, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with non-stick paper.
  • In a bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Use your fingertips to rub in the butter until fine crumbs form. Stir in the sugar, then add the chocolate bits and craisins. Mix well.
  • Mix milk into a soft dough using a round-bladed knife. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to 2cm thickness. Cut out 12 rounds using a 5 1/2 cm round cutter. Remember to re-roll any leftover dough.
  • Place the rounds 1/2 cm apart on the tray and bake for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow them to cool before serving.
  • Put the chocolate in a plastic bag and snip the corner. Drizzle it over the scones and serve with chocolate hazelnut spread.
