No-bake chocolate and fig slice

Involve the kids in making these tasty chocolate slices packed with dried fruit and nuts.
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 200g pkts Dark Cooking Chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 250ml (1 cup) thickened cream
  • 200g Marie biscuits, coarsely chopped
  • 1 x 375g pkt dessert figs, coarsely chopped
  • 1 x 170g pkt craisins (dried cranberries)
  • 125g unsalted pistachio kernels
Instructions:
  • Cover a 16 x 26cm slab pan with non-stick baking paper, leaving the edges hanging over the sides.
  • Melt the chocolate with the cream in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring with a metal spoon until smooth.
  • Combine the biscuit, fig, craisins, and pistachios with the chocolate mixture until evenly mixed. Spread the mixture into the prepared tray, then use a spoon to press and smooth it out. Chill in the fridge for 4-5 hours until firm. Cut into squares and serve.
