Chocolate and pear puddings

Chocolate walnut pear puddings: a decadent delight with added crunch and sweetness.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 x 260g pkt Green's traditional chocolate sponge pudding mix
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) cold water
  • 2 beurre bosc pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) boiling water
  • Thin cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Combine pudding mix, egg, and cold water in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer for 1 minute until slightly thickened. Gently fold in the walnuts.
  • Spoon the mixture evenly into four 250ml (1-cup) ramekins or ovenproof dishes and layer the pear slices on top.
  • Sprinkle the sauce mix from the pudding packet over the mixture, then pour the boiling water over it.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the top is cake-like and a skewer inserted halfway comes out clean. Enjoy with cream.
