Decadent chocolate bourbon pecan pie puts a tasty twist on a Southern favorite with rich flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup bourbon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 325°F (165°C).
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together sugar, corn syrup, and butter until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, bourbon, vanilla, and salt with a whisk until fully mixed. Gradually incorporate sugar mixture while whisking continuously. Add chocolate chips and pecans, then pour the mixture into the pie shell.
  • Bake in the oven until golden and set, for 50-55 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
