Create luxurious chocolate bowls with inflated balloons as molds, personalized with nuts and sprinkles of your choice.
Ingredients:
  • 290g pkt milk choc melts (see notes)
  • 50g (1/3 cup) crushed peanuts
  • Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
  • Fresh or frozen cherries, to serve
  • Chocolate sauce, to serve
  • Coconut flakes, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate melts. Microwave on Medium power, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Let it cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
  • Blow up 6 balloons to fit in your palm (avoid over-inflating). Coat the balloons with oil and gently dry with a paper towel.
  • Prepare the baking tray by lining it with baking paper. Spoon 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate onto the tray to make a small disc. Dip a balloon into the chocolate, covering about one-third of the balloon's side. Flip the balloon over, chocolate side up, and sprinkle crushed peanuts over the chocolate. Place the balloon chocolate side down on the chocolate disc on the tray. Repeat the process with the remaining balloons, chocolate, and crushed peanuts to create 6 bowls. Allow them to set for 1 hour.
  • With a sharp knife, gently burst the balloons and extract any lingering balloon pieces from the chocolate bowls.
  • Fill the chocolate bowls with scoops of ice cream, garnish with cherries, drizzle chocolate sauce, and sprinkle coconut flakes.
