Indulge in delectable classic dessert bars.
Ingredients:
  • 200g low-fat spread, chopped
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 187.50 ml gluten-free plain flour
  • 20.00 gm gluten-free cocoa powder
  • 62.50 ml pecans, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C. Grease and line an 18cm square cake pan, making sure the paper extends 2cm above the edges.
  • Combine spread, chocolate, and sugar in a saucepan over gentle heat, stirring continuously until velvety. Pour mixture into a bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Combine eggs and vanilla with the chocolate mixture, ensuring it is well mixed. Stir in sifted flour and cocoa until fully combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until firm, then allow to cool. Lift the baked goods out, wrap in plastic wrap, place in an airtight container, and cut into squares to serve.
