Decadent and rich chocolate cake - a must-try for chocolate lovers!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2.25 cups cake flour
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.75 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Prepare three 9-inch cake pans by greasing them and lining the bottoms with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of water in a small pan over low heat. Stir until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Let it cool to room temperature.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt using a sifter. Set aside.
  • In a spacious bowl, blend together the butter or margarine and sugar until creamy. Mix in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Incorporate the chocolate mixture. Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk into the creamed mixture, blending until smooth. Divide the batter evenly into three 9-inch pans and ensure the tops are even.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 to 15 minutes, then invert onto wire racks and cool completely.
  • Begin by placing one cake layer upside down on a cake platter. Cover it with a generous 1/2-inch layer of decadent chocolate whipped cream. Repeat the process with another cake layer. Then, add the final cake layer on top and generously frost the entire cake with the remaining cream.
  • To Make Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting: Gently melt 1 cup chocolate chips, honey, 2 tablespoons water, and 1/8 teaspoon salt in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth; let cool. Whip cream in a medium bowl until firm. Fold some whipped cream into the chocolate mix, then combine both mixtures until smooth and creamy.
