Festive holiday fudge with chocolate chip cookies and sprinkles. Great for gifting or indulging.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 lb white candy melts or coating wafers, or vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon holiday candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine cookie mix, softened butter, and egg in a medium bowl. Using a tablespoon, shape dough into rounds and place them 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until edges are golden. Allow to cool completely for about 20 minutes before enjoying.
  • Prepare an 8-inch square pan by lining it with foil and lightly greasing the foil. Break 10 to 12 cookies into pieces, totaling 2 cups. Spread one-third of the cookie pieces evenly in the pan.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, gently melt the candy melts over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully melted. Mix in the condensed milk until smooth. Take off the heat.
  • Spread half of the melted mixture in the pan, ensuring an even layer over the cookie pieces. Layer one-third of the cookies, half of the chocolate chips, and half of the sprinkles. Pour the rest of the melted mixture on top, spreading it evenly. Finish by topping with the remaining cookies, chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
  • Chill until fully set for about 2 hours. Then, slice into 36 squares.
