Make a festive batch of Chocolate Chip M&M's™ Cookies perfect for holiday parties or gifts. Enjoy gooey treats with colorful candies year-round.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, slightly softened
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 bag (14 oz) M&M's® chocolate candies
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl. Use an electric mixer on medium speed or mix with a spoon until well blended. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until a stiff dough forms. Gently fold in chocolate chips and chocolate candies.
  • Spoon dough onto a cookie sheet without greasing, using a level teaspoonful or a #70 cookie/ice cream scoop, spacing each about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 to 11 minutes until lightly browned with soft centers. Allow to cool for 1 to 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
