Ring in the New Year with delectable chocolate kisses!
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 115g caster sugar
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 5.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 150°C and prepare two large oven trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Using an electric beater, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Slowly add the sugar, beating thoroughly after each addition until the sugar dissolves. Incorporate the cinnamon and cocoa until mixture is smooth and shiny.
  • Transfer the mixture into a piping bag with a 1cm plain nozzle attached. Pipe kisses onto the trays, allowing space for spreading. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely by turning the oven off and leaving the door slightly ajar.
  • 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate on Medium/50% power, stirring every minute until smooth. 2. Spread a thin layer of the melted chocolate onto the flat side of the kisses and press them together to form sandwiches. 3. If necessary, refrigerate for 2-3 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
