Indulge in Granny Smith apples coated in your choice of dark, milk, or white chocolate and adorned with candy or nuts - a delightful Halloween treat!
Ingredients:
  • 10 small Granny Smith apples
  • 0.5 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • 0.5 cup candy-coated milk chocolate candies
  • 2 pounds semisweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • Skewer wooden craft sticks or lollipop sticks into the apple cores at the stems.
  • Prepare a plate of roasted peanuts and another plate of candies; keep them aside.
  • In a metal or glass bowl, melt the chocolate over a pan of gently simmering water, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  • Coat apples in melted chocolate until fully covered. Roll in candy or nuts, then place on waxed paper. Repeat with the rest of the apples.
  • Let the apples sit at room temperature until the chocolate sets, which takes about 20 minutes before serving.
