Make a delicious Aussie chocolate slice for a memorable treat everyone will love.
Ingredients:
  • 250g packet choc-chip cookies, cut into 2cm pieces
  • 125.00 ml roasted unsalted peanuts, chopped
  • 85.00 gm sultanas, chopped
  • 32.50 gm cocoa powder, sifted
  • 100g unsalted butter, chopped
  • 180g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • 120g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 50g unsalted butter, chopped
Instructions:
  • Prepare your square cake pan by greasing and lining it with baking paper, ensuring the paper extends 2cm above the edges of the pan. Mix together cookies, peanuts, sultanas, and cocoa in a bowl.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter, chocolate, and condensed milk until smooth, stirring for 3 to 4 minutes. Pour the mixture over the cookie mixture and stir well. Transfer the combined mixture into a prepared pan, pressing it down with a spoon. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours until set.
  • Prepare luxurious chocolate ganache: Melt chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over gentle heat, stirring until smooth. Take off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Pour the velvety ganache over the slice and chill for 2 hours until firm. Remove the slice from the pan, sprinkle with cocoa powder, then cut into elegant squares and serve.
