Decadent chocolate icing made with butter, brown sugar, and confectioners' sugar for a speedy cake upgrade.
Ingredients:
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions:
  • Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Pour in milk, bring to a boil, and then remove from heat.
  • Combine the cocoa and confectioners sugar, then mix into the butter mixture along with the vanilla. Adjust the thickness by adding more milk if needed.
  • Quickly spread the frosting over the cooled cake before it sets.
