Decadent chocolate fudge with Jack Daniel's® whiskey, dual chocolate layers, topped with pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 3 fluid ounces whiskey (such as Jack Daniel's®)
  • 4 tablespoons Nuts, pecans
  • 3 (4 ounce) bars Candies, milk chocolate
  • 3 (3 ounce) bars dark chocolate, cut into chunks
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions:
  • Combine whiskey and pecan halves in a small bowl, letting them infuse together for approximately 3 hours.
  • Prepare a double foil sling in an 8-inch square pan for easy fudge removal. Line the pan with aluminum foil, making sure to cover the bottom and 2 sides. Ensure the foil is pressed firmly into the corners and any excess is folded over the sides to create the sling.
  • Set aside drained pecans, keeping 2 ounces of whiskey.
  • Melt milk and dark chocolate together in a double boiler, stirring often with a rubber spatula to prevent burning. It should be smooth and shiny in about 5 minutes as you scrape down the sides.
  • Take the melted chocolate off the heat, carefully pour in the sweetened condensed milk while stirring until fully combined. Add the melted butter and salt, stirring constantly. Incorporate the reserved whiskey and continue stirring until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture to the pan and gently spread it out evenly using an offset spatula. Carefully place 16 pecans on top in a neat arrangement of 4 rows with 4 pecans each. Chill in the refrigerator until set, for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Use the foil sling to effortlessly lift the fudge out of the pan. Transfer the fudge to a cutting board and slice it into 16 perfect pieces using a bench scraper or sharp knife.
