Indulge in rich cocoa powder for a decadent and guilt-free chocolate twist in this cozy porridge recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 200 g blanched hazelnuts
  • 200 g Medjool dates
  • 400 g porridge oats
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 heaped tablespoons quality cocoa powder
  • 1 orange
  • 200 ml coconut water
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Greek yoghurt
  • 80g fresh fruit, such as raspberries, blackberries, sliced banana, grated apple and pear, segments of orange
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon or quality cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions:
  • Toast the hazelnuts in a dry pan over medium heat until golden, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a food processor. Remove pits from dates, and add flesh to the processor with half the oats, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder. Grate in orange zest and pulse until fine. Mix this with the remaining oats. Store in an airtight jar. To serve, heat 65g of the mixture in a saucepan with 200ml of coconut water over medium-low heat for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add water if needed. Serve with Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and optionally, cinnamon or cocoa. Adjust cooking time if making more portions. Enjoy your delicious chocolate porridge!
