Chocolate savoiardi with berry cream

Delicious dessert with fresh berries, chocolate, and savoiardi biscuits - a must try!
Ingredients:
  • 200g good-quality dark cooking chocolate, finely chopped
  • 12 savoiardi biscuits
  • 500g hulled strawberries or raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • 12.00 gm icing sugar
Instructions:
  • Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Dip one end of each savoiardi biscuit into the melted chocolate until well coated. Place on a foil-lined tray and let it sit in a cool place until the chocolate sets.
  • Gently crush half of the strawberries or raspberries. Whip cream and icing sugar in a medium bowl with electric beaters until soft peaks form. Fold in the crushed berries delicately with a metal spoon until mixed. Serve in a large bowl or individual bowls.
  • Present the chocolate-coated savoiardi biscuits with the berry cream and garnish with the extra berries.
