Elevate classic Russian tea cakes with a delicious chocolate center surprise.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 60 Hershey's® Kisses® Brand milk chocolates, unwrapped
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, egg, flour, cocoa, almonds, and extract in a large bowl until you have a soft dough.
  • Roll the dough into sixty 3/4-inch balls, then wrap each one around a piece of milk chocolate candy. Place the balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until set. Remove from cookie sheet right away and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Roll cookies in a snowy blanket of powdered sugar. Allow to cool fully for about 15 minutes. Give them a second coat of powdered sugar before storing them tightly covered.
