Indulge in Easter chocolate tarts with a biscuit base and adorable MaltEaster bunny toppings for a festive treat.
Ingredients:
  • 200g plain chocolate biscuits
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 60ml cream
  • 75g butter, extra, chopped
  • 1 Free Range Egg
  • 2 Free Range Egg yolks
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 80g Maltesers
  • 6 MaltEaster Chocolate Bunnies
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C. Grease six 2cm-deep, 8cm tart pans with removable bases, then place them on a baking tray. Crush biscuits in a food processor until fine, then mix in melted butter until combined. Firmly press the mixture into the base and sides of the pans. Chill in the fridge.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, gently melt the chocolate with the cream and chopped butter until smooth, stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes.
  • With an electric mixer, whip together the egg, egg yolks, and sugar until they become thick and creamy. Slowly incorporate the chocolate mixture until well combined. Transfer the mixture into tart shells.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the filling just sets. Let it cool in the pans for 30 minutes. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours until firm.
  • Garnish tarts with Maltesers and MaltEaster Bunnies.
