Teddy bear-shaped chocolate cookies are made with this recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Combine the butter or margarine, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Mix in the eggs. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the creamy mixture and mix well. Chill until firm.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Create each cookie by rolling a 1-inch ball for the body, a 3/4-inch ball for the head, 4 small balls for arms/legs (1/2 inch each), 2 smaller balls for ears, and one tiny ball for the nose. Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet, then use a toothpick to draw on the eyes and mouth.
  • Bake for 6 minutes until just set. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then gently transfer from the cookie sheet. For extra flair, consider adding a licorice whip ribbon around each cookie after baking.
