3 irresistible chocolate truffle recipes for a memorable Christmas treat.
Ingredients:
  • 600.00g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 180.00ml cream
  • 1/2 tsp orange rind, finely grated
  • 20.00 ml Cointreau liqueur or Grand Marnier
  • 200g dark chocolate, melted, extra
  • 20.00 ml Smooth Hazelnut Spread
  • 20.00 ml Frangelico liqueur (optional)
  • 35g hazelnuts
  • Cocoa powder, to dust
  • 20.00 ml white rum
  • 1 tsp Queen Coconut Essence
  • Desiccated coconut, to coat
Instructions:
  • For the orange truffles, melt together chocolate, cream, orange rind, and liqueur in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir for 5 mins until smooth. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour until firm. Shape into 1 1/2 teaspoon balls, chill for 30 mins. Dip in melted chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, then set in the fridge.
  • Combine chocolate, cream, choc-hazelnut spread, and Frangelico in a heatproof bowl. Melt over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring for 5 minutes until smooth. Remove from heat, mix in hazelnuts, and chill for 1 hour. Roll 1 1/2 teaspoon of mixture into balls, coat in cocoa powder, and set in the fridge.
  • For coconut rum truffles, melt chocolate with cream, rum, and essence in a bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth. Chill for 1 hour until firm. Roll chocolate into balls, coat with coconut, and set in the fridge.
