Indulgent chocolate cake for two with a healthier twist using Bisquick Heart Smart®. Perfect for a romantic treat with sundae toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons fat-free egg product or 1 egg white
  • 1/3 cup fat-free (skim) milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup chocolate-flavor syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 pint (1 cup) vanilla reduced-fat ice cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix all ingredients except for the chocolate syrup, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and the ice cream with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, making sure to scrape the bowl often. Increase the speed to medium and beat for 3 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Transfer the mixture to a pan.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. While the cake cools, heat chocolate syrup and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a small microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute on High. Drizzle the warm sauce over the cake and serve with ice cream.
