Homemade chocolate-covered pretzels, a delightful and simple snack. Customize with drizzles or sprinkles for a festive touch!
Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips (see headnote above)
  • 4 ounces (72 individual) mini pretzel twists
Instructions:
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave: Put the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds at 50% power. Stir well. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds at full power. Stir until smooth. If needed, microwave in 15-second increments at full power, stirring between each time, until smooth.
  • Dip half of the pretzels in semi-sweet chocolate: Submerge a mini pretzel in the luscious semi-sweet chocolate using a fork for an even coating.
  • Drain excess chocolate: With a fork, lift the pretzel out of the chocolate and allow the excess to drip off by tapping gently against the bowl. Wipe the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove any lingering chocolate, then transfer the pretzel to the baking sheet. If necessary, use a second fork. Continue until half of the pretzels are coated, ensuring some chocolate remains in the bowl.
  • Continue with the white chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips in a clean bowl using the same process. Coat the remaining pretzels in the melted white chocolate.
  • Drizzle the pretzels with a fork: Dip the fork in the remaining semi-sweet chocolate and gently drizzle over the white chocolate-coated pretzels. Repeat with the remaining white chocolate. For a precise drizzle, transfer chocolate to a quart-size freezer bag, snip a tiny corner, and squeeze to control the drizzle.
  • Chill the pretzels until the chocolate sets, then transfer to an airtight container in the refrigerator for freshness. Enjoy for up to 10 days.
