Indulgent chocolate-dipped potato chips, pretzels, popcorn, and nuts - a crowd-pleasing gourmet delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound high quality milk chocolate, chopped
  • 8 cups ridged potato chips
Instructions:
  • Melt 3/4 of the chocolate in a heat safe bowl over a pan of simmering water, or use a double boiler if available. Stir occasionally until completely melted, then heat the chocolate to 110 degrees F (43 degrees C), stirring occasionally. Use a meat thermometer if needed.
  • Once the melted chocolate reaches temperature, take it off the heat, and mix in the rest of the chopped chocolate until melted. Keep stirring until the chocolate cools to 90°F (32°C). Test by touching a bit of chocolate to your lip – it should feel cool.
  • Grab a chip with tongs and dip it into the chocolate. Place it on waxed paper, starting at the farthest point from you and moving towards you to avoid any drips. Let the chocolate set and you can refrigerate if desired.
