Create a decadent Valentine's Day treat by blending almond and Chex™ marshmallow treats for a crowd-pleasing delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 6 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
  • 7 oz almond paste, chopped into small pieces
  • 10 oz dark chocolate chips
  • Candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish by lining it with cooking parchment paper and then spraying it with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Mix in almond extract. Reduce heat, then add cereal and almond paste, stirring until well coated. Transfer mixture to a baking dish and press down firmly using a greased rubber spatula or greased hands. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the mixture from the baking dish and cut it into heart shapes using a cookie cutter. Any leftover scraps can be re-rolled with a greased rolling pin.
  • Melt chocolate in microwave-safe bowl on High in 30-second intervals, stirring each time. Dip hearts halfway into chocolate, sprinkle with sprinkles, and return to parchment paper. Chill in the freezer briefly until chocolate sets.
