Upgrade your banana bread with a decadent twist: chocolate-hazelnut spread for a moist and irresistible treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Nutella® hazelnut spread with cocoa
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth using an electric mixer. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in bananas, yogurt, and vanilla until well combined. Gently fold in flour mixture until just incorporated; avoid overmixing.
  • Place hazelnut spread in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for about 15 seconds until softened. Mix in 1 cup of banana bread batter until fully combined. Spoon 1/3 of the plain banana bread batter into a loaf pan. Layer with half of the hazelnut batter, then repeat the layers, finishing with the plain banana bread batter on top. Use a knife to swirl the batters slightly.
  • Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top of the bread is browning too quickly after 45 minutes, lightly cover with foil for the remaining bake time. Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
