Chow mein sharing salad recipe

Quick and delightful no-cook chicken salad, ready in 20 minutes, ideal for guests.
Ingredients:
  • 750.00 ml sliced cold cooked chicken
  • 1/4 wombok (Chinese cabbage), shredded
  • 1 carrot, cut into thin matchsticks
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 100g packet crunchy fried noodles
  • Extra sliced green onion, to serve
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
  • 63.13 gm vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
Instructions:
  • Prepare the dressing by blending soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a screw-top jar. Add salt and pepper for seasoning. Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously until fully combined.
  • In a large bowl, add the chicken and generously drizzle half of the dressing over it. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly and let it marinate for 5 minutes.
  • Combine wombok, carrot, onion, and noodles with the chicken mixture. Gently toss everything together until well combined. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with extra onion. Serve immediately with the remaining dressing.
