Spread holiday cheer with delicious homemade Christmas treats for your loved ones.
Ingredients:
  • 750.00 ml cornflakes
  • 62.50 ml currants
  • 42.50 gm sultanas
  • 62.50 ml plain flour
  • 80g packet pistachio kernels, chopped
  • 100g packet mixed glace cherries, chopped
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 70g dark chocolate, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Lightly grease a 3cm-deep, 16cm x 26cm slice pan and line it with baking paper, leaving a 2cm overhang on the long sides.
  • Place cornflakes in a sealed bag, crush lightly with hands, then transfer to a bowl.
  • Combine currants, sultanas, flour, pistachios, cherries, and condensed milk. Mix thoroughly. Transfer mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly using the back of a spoon. Bake for 25 minutes or until dark golden and firm. Allow to cool completely in the pan before serving.
  • Cut the mixture into squares. Place them on a wire rack over a baking tray. Fill a small snap-lock bag with chocolate, then cut off a corner. Drizzle the chocolate in a zigzag pattern over the squares. Allow the chocolate to harden before serving.
