Christmas negroni

Elevate your Negroni with cozy winter spice-infused gin for a festive twist and cozy vibes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 oranges
  • 100 g golden caster sugar
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 fresh bay leaves
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 500 ml Bombay sapphire gin
  • 70 ml infused gin (from above)
  • 2 slices of orange
  • 50 ml Martini bianco
  • 50 ml Martini bitters
Instructions:
  • First, prepare the infused gin by peeling the zest from the oranges and combining with all ingredients except the gin in a small pan. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until a light syrup forms. Allow to cool, then transfer the syrup and infusions to a glass bottle and top with gin. Shake to mix and store for at least a week to infuse. Strain before using. When ready to make cocktails, place ice cubes in two old fashioned whisky glasses. Mix negroni ingredients in a jug, stir well, and pour evenly into the glasses.
