Cinnamon chilli hot chocolate recipe

Indulge in a quick and rich spicy-chocolate drink in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1l milk
  • 100g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 100g milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 long red chilli, halved lengthways
  • 1 cinnamon stick or quill
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 2 mint sprigs
  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • Cocoa powder, to dust
  • Halved red birdseye chillies, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine milk, chocolate, long red chili, cinnamon, star anise, and mint. Stir occasionally and cook for 5 mins until chocolate melts and the mixture is heated through. Let it sit for 5 mins to enhance the flavors.
  • Pour the strained mixture from the sieve into heatproof serving glasses, then top with whipped cream, cocoa powder, and birdseye chili for a delicious finish.
