Effortlessly shape and cut cookies for a quick and delicious chocolate chip treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 bag (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, cream together 1 1/3 cups of sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs using an electric mixer or a spoon. Mix in the flour and baking powder, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Divide the dough into fourths and shape each into a 1-inch diameter, 15-inch long roll on a lightly floured surface. Place the rolls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork to about 5/8-inch thickness and sprinkle the mixture of 3 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
  • Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until edges turn a light golden brown. Slice diagonally into approximately 1-inch strips while the cookies are still warm.
