Whip up zesty chipotle-orange marinated carne asada for a festive Cinco de Mayo feast. Enjoy on fresh, warm tortillas.
Ingredients:
  • 2 oranges, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 chipotle chile pepper, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 pound skirt steak
Instructions:
  • Combine fresh orange juice, aromatic cumin, spicy chile pepper, and sea salt in a bowl. Transfer the flavorful mixture into a resealable plastic bag. Add the steak, ensuring it's well coated with the marinade. Squeeze out any excess air, seal the bag tightly, and let it marinate in the fridge for 24 hours.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to a perfect medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Take the steak out of the marinade and dispose of the marinade.
  • Cook the steak for 3 to 4 minutes per side until it reaches a perfect medium-rare, ensuring it is reddish-pink and juicy in the center. Use an instant-read thermometer to achieve an internal temperature of 130 degrees F (54 degrees C).
