Barilla's classic lasagne - a timeless favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 250g Lasagne
  • 1 jar Bolognese sauce
  • 150g veal mince
  • 150g pork mince
  • 1/3 onion, finely chopped
  • 50g Italian Pancetta
  • 100g Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated (divided by 4 quantities)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive oil
  • 75g butter
  • 75g flour
  • 1.5L milk
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 180°C.
  • Heat oil in a large fry pan until hot. Sauté onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add pancetta and cook for 1 minute. Brown veal and pork mince, season with salt and pepper. Stir in Barilla's Bolognese sauce and simmer.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Stir and cook over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes until the sauce boils and thickens. Season to taste.
  • Spread a delicate layer of béchamel on the bottom of a rectangular baking dish, followed by the lasagne sheets.
  • Alternate layers of creamy béchamel sauce with rich bolognese sauce and flavorful Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, building up four or five layers in total.
  • Place the lasagne in a hot oven for 20-25 minutes, then let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
