Creamy mac and cheese baked to perfection with Cheddar and evaporated milk.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package macaroni
  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain.
  • Prepare a 2-quart casserole dish by greasing it. Layer a quarter of the macaroni first, then add a quarter of the cheese slices evenly. Add small butter dots and season with salt and pepper. Repeat layering this process three more times. Finally, evenly pour evaporated milk over the top of everything.
  • Bake without a cover for one hour, or until the top is a beautiful golden brown.
