Delicious and keto-friendly Goulash recipe from Central Europe, Scandinavia, and Southern Europe.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons lard
  • 2 white onions, minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 7 ounces water
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
Instructions:
  • Heat lard in a pot over high heat until melted. Add onions and cook until browned, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat, add paprika, and stir to quickly combine with onions to prevent burning.
  • Place the meat in the pot over high heat and brown on all sides for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in tomato paste. Add water, garlic, and cumin. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the meat is very soft, at least 1 1/2 hours. Finish by stirring in marjoram and cooking for another 10 minutes.
