Easy, flavorful Thanksgiving stuffing with a golden, crispy edge. Perfect with roasted turkey, chicken, or pork.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf sourdough bread, cubed
  • 0.75 cup butter
  • 1.5 cups diced onion
  • 1.5 cups diced celery
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2.5 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley, divided
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Spread out the bread cubes in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Place in the oven set to the desired temperature for 10-12 minutes, ensuring to stir halfway through.
  • Take out the dish from the oven and allow it to cool. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until sizzling. Add onion and celery, stirring often, until onion is translucent and starting to caramelize, around 7 minutes. Sprinkle in salt, poultry seasoning, and pepper, then take off the heat.
  • Combine stock, eggs, parsley, and rosemary in a large bowl. Mix in cooled bread cubes and onion mixture until fully incorporated. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and cover with foil.
  • After baking for 45 minutes, continue baking uncovered until the top is golden brown and lightly toasted, for an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the remaining parsley for a vibrant finish.
