Make festive clover leaf pops for St. Patrick's Day using Betty Crocker® double chocolate chunk cookie mix and frosting for a delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 14 craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with round ends)
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1/4 teaspoon kelly green paste food color
  • 1/8 teaspoon lime green paste food color
  • Green sanding sugar, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, combine cookie mix and process until chocolate chunks are finely chopped, about 10 seconds. Add oil and egg, then pulse until dough forms. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before baking.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll the dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness, then use a 3-inch clover-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Place the cutouts on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart and gently insert a craft stick halfway into the center of each cookie.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until fully set. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely.
  • Separate frosting into 2 bowls; dye one bowl with kelly green food color and the other with lime green food color. Frost half of the cookies with each color and sprinkle with sanding sugar. Place remaining frosting in separate plastic bags, snip off a small corner, and pipe shamrock outlines on cookies. Allow to set before serving.
